To All Aerospace Engineers and Enthusiasts,
As the fall semester comes to a close, AIAA has some exciting events that are being planned for the spring semester.
AIAA will be participating in the Midwest High Powered Rocket Launch (MRL) in the spring and is in need of some electrical/computer engineers (or people who are willing to learn) that can help with building and coding a flight computer. The list of rules and competition overview can be found here: https://dept.aem.umn.edu/msgc/Space_Grant_Midwest_Rocketry_Competition_2019_2020/Midwest_Rocket_Competition_Handbook_2019-2020_v2_posted.pdf
The spring trip is right around the corner. Sam will be having a meeting at 6:30pm in 85 CAE on Monday, December 9th for all those who are interested.
T-Shirts have arrived! Next Monday (12/9) from 5:30 pm-7:00pm there will be a MRL meeting in the basement of 1410 Engineering Drive, shirts will be available for pickup during this time. If you are unable to make that, please contact Andrew or Sam and to arrange a time to meet. Please remember that a payment of $20 is due during pickup. Acceptable payments include cash, check, or venmo. Venmo can be sent to our treasurer Moubarak Jeje (@Moubarak-Jeje) with the description AIAA Shirt.
We will be having some leadership changes for the spring semester. Our President, Andrew Marek, will be graduating and will be stepping down from the position. Sam Jaeger, the current Vice President, will be taking over presidential responsibilities for the spring semester. Also, our treasurer, Moubarak Jeje, will be stepping down and Will DeVeter will be taking over treasurer duties for the spring semester.
If there are any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to any of the board members.
Best of luck on finals and have a great rest of the semester,
