2020 Midwest Rocket Launch (MRL) Competition – Hosted by the Minnesota Space Grant Consortium (MnSGC)

The 2020 Midwest Rocket Competition has been delayed until the fall of 2020. This year the goal of MRL is the photography altitude challenge. Two launches to 2345′ and 3456′ are required, during which a live video stream will be sent to the ground. An active roll control mechanism is being developed to improved video stream.

Level 1, 2, and 3 Model Rocketry Certifications

Get certified to design, build, and launch your own high powered rockets! AIAA works with Tripoli Wisconsin and attends monthly launches at Bong Recreational Facility. More information on certifications can be found at Tripoli or NAR websites.

Solid Rocket Engine Test Stand

AIAA is developing its own solid rocket test stand to test homemade solid rocket motors.

Base 11 Race to Space

The Base 11 Space Challenge is a 3 year long competition now managed by UW Space Race. The goal of the challenge is gather a completely student lead team to design, build and launch a liquid-propelled, single stage rocket to an altitude of 100 kilometers (the Karman Line).
